It is not the rain per se, information technology is the lack of visibility. I would not believe the forecasts and especially more than iii days out.

I wouldn't trust any weather forecasts. Two years ago I checked weather.com up to the morning I was leaving (London trip). The reports were e'er depression 60s and thunderstorms. Knowing how chilling it can exist when information technology's damp and raining we revised our clothing based on this to include jackets, fleece vests, gloves. I took out a lot of the warm weather cloths I had originally packed.
The conditions was hot and no pelting. Nosotros were glad we had a hotel with AC.
To answer your question, I didn't savor Lake Como in the rain. But you never know what the weather volition be.

Lake Como would non be alot of fun in the pelting but I would besides not believe any forecasts. We were there final year and the forecast was for rain all three days. Nosotros simply had rain on ane solar day and the other days were cute. The day it rained we spent shopping and had a nice long dejeuner. Expert luck.

When nosotros were at Varenna when it rained, nosotros hopped on the railroad train and went on a day trip to Switzerland. It was misty, but even so quite enjoyable. The rain kind of came and went.

Isn't there a lot of "way outlets" to utilise the term loosely in the region? I remember staying in Lugano and a woman I met at the hotel bar spends all her time shopping for fabric and stuff at all of he fashion houses factories in Italy? Is this truthful?

Personally, I think the term "fashion outlet" is oxymoronic unless yous add the words "last yr's..." or "2d option...." to the front of it..but I digress...never saw whatsoever when I was at mid-lake area merely so once more, it wasn't raining and I wasn't looking.
Enjoy the trip.

Lake Como does lose a lot of its appeal in bad weather because, every bit Bob says, you miss out on the spectacular views. I was in one case in Cernobbio for a week and on the one twenty-four hours it rained we were miserable. Luckily we had a car so we drove to Lugano and it was gorgeous there. I wouldn't put besides much faith in weather forecasts more a few days away only I was speaking to a friend yesterday whose neighbors are in Como right now and said the weather in that location this month has been atrocious--beneath freezing at dark. Hopefully, it volition improve shortly.

In fact when I chosen to confirm my reservation at the hotel I'll exist staying, I enquired about the weather and the lady on the other line said that information technology was and has been raining the last couple of days.
I'thousand definitely there for the view cos I've heard of how cute the lake is. I'm withal keeping my hopes high just if the weather condition doesn't meliorate, it'due south ever a good reason to go back for another visit! I will try to relish this trip nevertheless. Cheers all for word of encouragement!

Nosotros stayed at Lake Como for two days last Oct. It did pelting but not all solar day. Nosotros took a boat ride around the lake. It was nevertheless nice in the rain. Another day nosotros took the train to Milan. Information technology rained while we wer at that place but it notwithstanding was worthwhile and very enjoyable.
